Criteria for the Evaluation of Digital Impedance Methods of Transmission Line Protection

This paper recommends criteria for the evaluation of different methods of digital impedance techniques of line protection. This set of criteria can be used by researchers, manufacturers and by potential users to evaluate various digital impedance methods of line protection. Standard criteria have been identified; however, specific quantitative measures vary widely for different methods and therefore are not presented in this paper.
