Abstract
A procedure is described for calculating the reactance of symmetric three-phase transformers, with or without phase shift. Usually this will consist of three windings on each leg of the transformer. The circuit is analyzed by converting the usual wye set of per unit reactances for a three winding transformer to equivalent ohms in series with each winding. Then the calculation of reactance is quite similar to calculation of the winding loss.
