Abstract
Ground-fault protection sensors on 277/480-V systems have not been able to provide adequate ground-fault protection-costly equipment burndowns are still occurring. Also ground-fault protection through the use of ground-fault (GF) sensors produce a coordination problem where complete shut down becomes a probability.
