The Holyhead Powersave project was the first DSM exercise of significant size in the UK. Initiated by Manweb plc, long before the regulatory reviews of the electricity market, the project has proved beneficial to customers, the environment and utility alike. This town has become the subject of intense interest from utilities, regulators and governments throughout the world. The project is described.<>
