Abstract
The impulse response of the human body can provide useful information of the body for medical purposes. An ultra-wideband (UWB) radar method is used to determine this impulse response. To this end, the study probed into human phantoms and the human body using discrete electromagnetic pulses. The received signal is processed primarily to extract the impulse response. The measurement result shows that impulse responses can provide information on the shape and electrical properties of the human body.
