Abstract
A distributed parameter single-stub measuring and matching technique is described for reducing the insertion loss of a VHF-UHF surface acoustic wave (SAW) narrow-band filter or delay line. Results are exemplified for measurements on a 124 MHz SAW filter with a 0.8 MHz bandwidth. The technique is also suggested as a convenient one for application to other types of narrow-band devices operating at VHF-UHF frequencies.
