Abstract
Three years of essentially continuous operation of the NRC long-beam primary cesium-beam standard, CsV, have demonstrated the feasibility and the many advantages of this method of time keeping. These advantages and the means of attaining and maintaining primary standard accuracy as well as ensuring the reliability of the time scale generated by such a clock are outlined.
