Abstract
A computer program based on the IEM (integral equation method) is effectively used for calculating the 3-D magnetic field of a permanent magnet system with a ferromagnetic medium. The IEM has two advantages in solving the magnetic field problem. One is that the required mesh divisions are limited to the magnetic objects (not within the whole domain). The second is that it is convenient to analyze the effect of a magnetic object on the original magnetic field
