Abstract
This paper describes the implementation of physical models of music instruments. Two models were implemented; guitar and clarinet. The models were implemented on a MIDI synthesizer system. This system consists of a MIDI controller, an OMAP L138 eXperimenters kit and an audio amplifier and loudspeaker. The MIDI keyboard controls the system, activating the synthesizer that runs on the DSP. The DSP synthesizes the sounds based on the physical models of both instruments.
