  • Abstract
A numerical code has been developed for analyzing the shielding current density in a high-temperature superconducting (HTS) thin film. By using the code, both the permanent magnet method and the inductive method have been reproduced numerically. The results of computations show that, in the permanent magnet method, the maximum repulsive force is roughly proportional to the critical current density. In addition, it is also found that the inductive method is appropriate for HTS films with both a high critical current density and a low critical electric field.
