Abstract
This book is a fairly general collection of papers in the area of speech intelligibility prediction, measurement, and applications with some few articles in the speaker recognition area also included. The collection of papers does not exhaustively. The book is divided into 10 parts, each of which contains from2 to 6 papers. One part covers historical subjects. Three parts deal with intelligibility testing and the underlying speech factors affecting intelligibility. Five sections deal with applications areas, specifically architectural acoustics, audiology, communications, hearing, and analysis-synthesis.
