Abstract
This work addresses the development of mobile robot platform. In the proposed work, Roomba robot has been adopted in order to improve its performance to undertake a number of specific tasks. Additionally, the sensor array comprising eight infrared sensors is also developed to use for obstacle detection and collision avoidance. The developed sensor array and robot platform have been tested and the effectiveness has been verified through a comprehensive series of experiments.
