Abstract
In this paper, the application of the primal-dual interior-point method to the power loss minimisation problem is revised. First, the nonlinear optimization problem is formulated and its possible solution by a sequence of LP subproblems is described. Second, the relevant equations arising when the log-barrier technique is applied to the original nonlinear model are developed, and major implementation aspects are discussed. Finally, some results obtained with a real transmission network are presented
