  • Abstract
    A quantitative analysis of the deviation between the projected sphere centre (i.e. the projection of the centre of a sphere) and the perspective elliptical contour centre (i.e. the centre of the elliptical contour of the sphere´s projection) is presented. This analysis helps to determine how much error arises from the widely applied approximation to substitute the latter for the former.
