  • Abstract
This article examines America´s Sarbanes-Oxley Act which has a wide-ranging impact on the UK´s financial sector. The Act was established to ensure the eradication of fraudulent financial reporting. Specifically, it requires company executives, boards of directors and independent auditors to take certain actions to achieve greater corporate accountability and transparency and, importantly, to restore public trust in US business and corporate reporting.
