Abstract
250-times repetition frequency multiplication of a 10 GHz pulse train achieving a 2.5 THz pulse train is numerically and experimentally demonstrated. Spectrum broadening, by nonlinear pulse chirping, and Talbot effect in 260 m-long and 500 m-long highly nonlinear fibre, respectively, are exploited to obtain a 2.5 THz clock signal.
