  • Abstract
    The theoretical relationship between throughput S and offered load G of reservation ALOHA (R-ALOHA) is derived. Closed-form expressions are given. It is shown that the performance of one version of R-ALOHA is mathematically equivalent to that of carrier-sense multiple access with collision detection (CSMA/CD) under special circumstances
