Proposed PES Reorganization

At its meeting of February 3, 1982, AdCom unanimously recommended a change in PES organization in accordance with suggestions made by the Long Range Planning Committee and the AdCom Executive Committee. This article describes the changes suggested, as well as the rationale behind those suggestions. Council members have been asked to review this suggestion carefully in preparation for ballotting in May of this year, at which time approval in principle will be requested. Final approval will be contingent on both the approval of IEEE´s Technical Activities Board and on a final vote by the Council later this year. PES members are urged to study this change and make their opinions known to their Chapter Chairman or to any PES officer.
