Abstract
The backscattering property of the 90° dihedral corner reflector is exploited to define a distributed target for automotive applications. In the analysis, the scatterer is described as a junction among three radial waveguides and the problem is solved by applying the mode-matching technique in a convenient matrix form. Once the structure is characterized in terms of a multimodal scattering matrix, the evaluation of the scattered fields at any observation point is straightforward
