Abstract
The results of comparative calculations of radar cross section of polydisperse medium with ellipsoidal drops and Pruppacher-Pitter drops are described in paper. The data are obtained for dipole scattering, by spherical drop approximation of equivalent volume and rigorous calculation on the base of method of moments for both kinds of drops.
