Abstract
Based on a recently suggested fast polyphase filter-bank pair a multisine measurement system is proposed and described. The multisine synthesis is performed by a multiple-input single-output filter-bank which performs the inverse discrete Fourier transformation, while as signal analyzer a single-input multiple-output filter-bank is applied. This latter calculates the discrete Fourier transform in a time-recursive manner. The computational complexity of the filter-banks corresponds to that of the fast Fourier transformation. A general characterization of the system from measurement point of view is also provided. The proposition seems to be particularly efficient when both high accuracy and speed are required
