Energy in Perspective: An updated slide presentation "Energy in Perspective" has been prepared by the IEEE Energy Committee in coordination with the Power Engineering Society. It puts the US energy problem in perspective, considers existing and new energy sources available, and how we can meet our needs, particularly in the critical period between now and the year 2020. A new Speaker\´s Kit has been sent to all Section Chairmen in the US, and to others who had requested it. The kit includes a Speaker\´s Guide, a set of 80 slides, a 30-minute audio cassette with synchronizing tone, and a copy of a new booklet which summarizes the presentation. PES members are encouraged to utilize the presentation in Chapter meetings or in presentations to the public. IEEE Exhibit: The IEEE was represented by an exhibit at the 11th Energy Technology Conference held in Washington DC. The exhibit had several objectives: to provide information about IEEE in general and the IEEE Centennial in particular; to operate an IEEE membership desk; to provide information about the Power Engineering Society and its activities; and to provide information about IEEE energy programs. Over thirty different items of information were available for reference or as handout material. The new edition of the slide presentation, "Energy in Perspective" was shown on a continuous basis.
