Abstract
When an applied stress was changed after demagnetization, the susceptibility on the initial magnetization curve increased anomalously. This phenomenon is known as demagnetization-stress effect. The stress-effect was observed more distinctly as demagnetization frequency fd was made lower for grain oriented Si-Fe sheets. It was concluded that the dependence of the stress-effect on fd originated in a change of spacing between each 180° walls in demagnetized state, where the spacing between 180° walls became wider when fd was made lower
