  • Abstract
    Two instruments that can be used to monitor the generator stator end-windings and the shaft potential of turbine-generator systems are described. The authors´ experience with the fiber-optic vibration monitor is described, along with their limited experience with the active shaft grounding system. The benefits of integrating these monitors, and others, into an online artificial-intelligence-based diagnostic system are discussed
