New methods of determination of constants of symmetrical networks with the aid of impedance measurements

Twelve new methods for the determination of the wave constants of a symmetrical network with the aid of impedance measurements are described. The formulae applicable to these methods are given, their field of application is discussed, their advantages and disadvantages are indicated, and a comparative estimate is made. Finally, experimental data are put forward showing that the new methods possess some advantages as compared with the classical ¿open and closed¿ method.
