Abstract
In the drive train of an electric or hybrid vehicle there are high currents and short switching times. The combination of these two parameters can lead to disturbances regarding EMC. High currents result in strong fields and short switching time causes a wide spectrum of possible emissions. In order to make predictions and appropriate countermeasures related to these possible interferences, it is necessary to understand and characterize these disturbances. Studies of the individual components may provide the first information about possible interference sources and their effects. However, it is also important to know the interference occurring in the assembled system as well as the effect on the drive train in a real vehicle. Therefore, the interference pulses occurring on the high voltage (HV) lines between battery and inverter are analyzed and determined. Then, by synthetic generation of such pulses, the propagation within the battery is investigated.
