Abstract
To deal with the problem of emitter identification caused by the interval-value measurements of emitter feature parameters, this study presents a novel interval type-2 fuzzy logic system (IT2 FLS), which consists of two parts: the rule generation part and the fuzzy reasoning part. In the rule generation part, interval approach is adopted to construct the IT2 fuzzy rule base. In the fuzzy reasoning part, an IT2 fuzzy reasoning method is proposed by extending the original type-1 fuzzy reasoning to handle the interval-value data. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed IT2 FLS not only has better identification capability, but also is more insensitive to noise.
