Abstract
For uplink channels, noncoherent detection methods are usually employed in a fading channel environment. Recently, pilot transmissions have been considered in uplink CDMA channels to allow coherent detection. The author proposes a technique to estimate channel parameters by jointly utilising pilot and traffic channels. An adaptive version of the proposed method is also considered
