  • Abstract
    Static inverters of up to 100 kva have been built and units up to 800 kva are being designed. These devices — generally in smaller sizes — are suitable for converting direct current from batteries to alternating current for emergency loads or for continuous power sources for essential a-c loads. Typical applications, battery considerations, application problems, and available units are discussed
