Abstract
An autonomous induction generator (IG) with an asymmetric configuration, both the stator and the rotor are single-phase, is shown to be capable of generating modulated waveforms. The experimental results are demonstrated to be in good agreement with the simulation waveforms and both strengthen the theoretical part. The developed equations can help as an IG design guideline. The modulated waveform periods are shown to be in a continuous transient state in a chaos manner. The IG is also explained by its steady-state equivalent circuit
