Abstract
The authors quantify the paging cost for a specific form of intelligent paging in terms of the probability of a successful first paging step. When compared with the simultaneous and sequential paging schemes, the benefit of the intelligent scheme is found to be much more profound in pedestrian-dominated PCS environments
