Abstract
The authors propose switching structures based on regular and non-regular polyhedra which ensure better QoS than the ATM switching networks known to date. The key idea of this solution is based on placing elementary switches on a sphere-shaped surface. Any set of adjacent switches forms a polygon, and the polygons in turn form a polyhedron
