President´s column

As the year of 1980 phases out, I am addressing you for the last time in this column. A busy year passes fast, particularly when changes in technology and science dictate the pace. Our Society is no exception in finding a new orientation towards the future in technical as well as administrative activities. In both areas I can report some excellent progress which is the result of unrestricted support and cooperation by our officers and AdCom members as well as many experienced members of our Society.
