Abstract
Personal and professional development is now recognised as an important feature in the education of an engineer. The paper describes a scenario based on a `ghost company´ that has been successfully used to develop these skills in students. It involves team working between two geographically remote sites using such techniques as video conferencing, e-mail and the Internet. Evaluation of the work has taken place and the results are presented with suggestions for further work
