  • Abstract
    A small fibre amplifier module pumped by a 0.98 mu m LD has been fabricated. Using a low erbium content fibre with a 4.9 dB/mW gain coefficient, the module attained 33 dB gain at 1.535 mu m with only 80 mA drive current.
