Abstract
Advances in technology result in social and organisational change. Here, the author argues that relying on technology to avoid resource shortages is equivalent to depending on accelerating social upheaval, redundancy and change to avoid extinction. He details how this is not sustainable and how it is time that society woke up to this situation.
