  • Abstract
FACTS is an acronym for flexible AC transmission system. FACTS is an evolving technology-based solution envisioned to help the electric utility industry to deal with changes in the power delivery business. This paper presents results of Task Force 3 of the IEEE´s FACTS Working Group of the DC and FACTS Subcommittee which had the assignment to establish appropriate definitions of FACTS-related terminology. These definitions are to be included in the IEEE Dictionary
