Abstract
This paper proposes two novel topological variants of a single-stage flyback PV microinverter, already reported in literature, which is capable of achieving power decoupling without using electrolytic capacitors. Practical design problems related to the original topology are discussed and the advantages of device stress and improved waveform quality offered by the modified forms are highlighted, considering a specific example. Finally some experimental results on a 100 W prototype are presented.
