Abstract
Electrical thermal chemical guns have so far been investigated in energy regimes where electrical energy has been used to compensate for temperature and add energy to the propellant. This paper presents results where the electrical energy is at levels of, or below, typical chemical igniters for a plasma igniter (PI). The aim of this study is to verify if ignition can be asserted by a PI at these low energies.
