    Discusses the possibilities for short-range low-cost TV stations in the USA where the Federal Communications Commission is preparing the necessary broadcasting rules. Such a low power TV station would operate the 10 to 1000 W level and might have a cost only 5 per cent of that of a conventional TV station.
