Abstract
A conveyor system is subjected to failure and repair. The mean number of units that the server processes in a given time is found with the assumption that no queue is allowed. The effect of variation of parameters relating to the conveyor is demonstrated graphically. It is shown that an increase in the repair rate of the conveyor increases the number of units processed by the server only up to a limit after which the improvement is negligible.
