IES Turns 60! [Message from the President]

This special issue of IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine is devoted to the 60th anniversary of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES). In this issue, several colleagues show the current state of the art of many technologies within the field of interest of the IES, showing the great evolution that all the technologies have had in the history of the Society. We recognize that not only was the IES one of the eldest among the IEEE but also one of the most vibrant and dynamic Societies.
