  • Abstract
From the point of view of EFT protagonists, progress is being made on all fronts. In the regulatory area, for example, some 26 states have passed enabling legislation that makes possible the installation of essentially all types of EFT equipment and defines the conditions under which installations can be made. In general, the effect of such legislation is either to remove the concept that an EFT terminal must be considered a branch or to make the branching requirement for installing most EFT equipment extremely modest.
