Abstract
Investigations were undertaken at a charitable school for disabled young people to see if reductions in the peak electrical load could provide cost savings. The study found an interesting and varied load shape with scope for peak load reduction. If the load profile is modified to take better advantage of tariff structures then costs can be reduced
