  • Abstract
    Describes the ways in which technology has enhanced the diagnosis of hearing impairment, by measuring evoked potentials from brain electrical activity. Although modern systems are packaged as clinical instruments, with "user-friendly" interfaces, this article reviews the requirements and details the design and development of such systems from the hardware, software and signal-processing viewpoints.
