  • Abstract
    A novel absolute-type encoder scheme employing pseudorandom binary arrays for two-dimensional position sensing is described. With the encoder scheme presented, combined measurement of shaft angular and translational position using a single transducer is possible. Brief details on design, construction and testing are given
