Abstract
According to the requirements on operating mechanism of movement characteristics during the opening and closing of 40.5 kV vacuum circuit breaker a new type of motor drive operating mechanism- cylinder linear induction motor (C-LIM) mechanism was designed. The magnetic field and some characteristics of C-LIM was analyzed using finite element method, and the optimized velocity curve of the contacting also planned. The vector control system is built, and simulated of the mechanism control system for driven in MATLAB environment. C-LIM model is successful in putting it through a test and satisfy requirements. The results show that it can get a good dynamic performance.
