  • Abstract
    This study aims to explore the factors influencing university patenting, contributing to the success university entrepreneurship. The success of patenting is associated with the knowledge regarding patent management, leading to the importance of knowing how university professors manage the process of patenting. By interviewing seventeen university professors, it can be found that they appear to employ some of the processes of patent management, used in the industries, says mostly patent search and patent analysis. Moreover, the employment seems to be influenced by university professors´ experiences and, particularly purposes, of patenting.
