PCs for AP

Continuing the theme of the June column, the following discussion is a rather eclectic mix of topics. Among the items included are a summary of some word-processing reviews, a collection of tidbits from the "Developments to Watch" section of Business Week magazine, a brief report on some additional benchmarks and some recent headlines on advances in parallel processing,CDs (compact optical discs) for PCs, and some reader feedback on selecting a scientific language. Also, continuing my nagging for input, I ask again that you send me anything that you think might be of interest to other readers (I am an optimist) of this column, for which youw ill earn my heartfelt thanks.
