Abstract
A new single tone detection circuit is presented. A sigma delta modulator is used to convert the analogue input signal to a one bit data stream. This data stream is then correlated with the quadrature components of the frequency which is to be detected. Direct signal synthesis is used to generate the quadrature components required in the correlation process.
